I would like to know how to insert the photo and link to a database entry into an ad in our classified forum.

I know this was discussed somewhere once and it can be done.

Some of our club members have just dug plants from the garden of a member who will be moving soon. They are of a higher value than we are able to ask at our plant sale, based on what our customers will spend.

I would like to be able to offer them here at good prices, but it would help me greatly if I can link to the database info.

Thanks in advance to anyone providing an answer.

Pst,
Have two tabs open in your browser, one with the Classified forum new thread you are making listing the plants and one for the Daylily Database page.
Go to the database page for the daylily you are listing. Click to open the photo you want to use. At the top where it says "BB Code" copy the code, looks like this

[db_photo] numbers [db_photo]

be sure to include the [ ] on both ends when you copy. Then paste the code into your classified listing. Or you can just copy/paste the web address for that photo.

To link to the database page copy and paste the web address of the database page into your listing.

I sent Pat these images by tree-mail and am putting them here in case anyone else wants it. If you are posting an ad listing plants for sale from your own plant list on this website, create a CSV spreadsheet and you can copy and paste all the plant links that you want from that list to your ad instead of doing an individual search for each plant.

Just make sure your plant list is up to date and that you have your preferences set to 500 items per page. If you have more than 500 plants in your plant list, then you will have to do a CSV download for each page.

Just one of several ways to copy and paste links of plant database pages into a post. If you are wanting to link a lot of database pages, I would do it this way.
