i have a wonderful big old bird bath but it won't hold water because the finish is all gone inside - what can i use to refinish it and it won't harm the birds? it sits in the hot sun, and i don't want anything to leech into the water -

What material is your bath made out of?

I have used a product called Stick and Seal by Loctite. (Lowe's etc) on my bird bath cracks. It is a tube of rubbery stuff that seals out water, or in this case, seals in water. I know this is safe for birds because I use it to make things for my parrots. You might have to reapply it. It seems to shrink and dry out when left open to air.

We used fiberglass resin to seal the cracks in my fountain, but I don't know if that would work on concrete.
