You're welcome. I figured it was just a simple name error, we've all done it Smiling Thanks for the acorn. I tip my hat to you.

I should give a public thanks to Vickie and Pat.
My Joe Burrow arrived yesterday. There were remnants of the cut 2022 scape on there. As thick as a dime (I compared them)! So the claims of it being stable I think are very true. Thumbs up
Thank You!
This is sure to become one of my faves. Crossing Fingers!

I'm so glad you bought 'Joe Burrow'! I did not get to see whether it bloomed for us this year bc of my broken ankle immobilizing me. I'm finally free of the clumsy boot as of last week (hooray!) but still can't walk very well.

I wanted to add a little more about Jan. Richard is obviously generous and caring about their community and so was Jan. She was a talented and expert quilter. There were beautiful quilted wall hangings in their home. And one gorgeous full sized quilt hanging from a balcony.

The last time we visited them, she showed me some lap quilts she was making to donate to a local facility. They were lovely. I could see she was using the same high quality of fabrics and beautiful patterns she used for her own. That's genuine caring about the pleasure as well as comfort they would provide the recipients!

I was glad to hear Richard was at the Region 2 meeting this summer! He sat with my husband on the bus trips. They talked daylilies mostly, of course! He was in good spirits.

Then he came to the MCDS summer meeting and plant sale. He donated some terrific plants. He sat by my husband again and again he was in good spirits. His website appears to be active again, so check it out if you want to get some great quality plants at fair prices!

One of my favorite Norris plants is Purple Passion's Promise. It's very well-budded and reblooms for me.

I haven't seen Putple Passion's Promise. It's gorgeous, and what a beautiful clump it makes! Plus great scapes. ๐Ÿ˜ I'm now planning to see it growing in our garden next year. Thanks for sharing. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

I don't believe this one has been shown in this thread. Received from Debra @Shive1 last spring. Seemingly not as well known as POI or SE.
Not registered as cristate but consistently shows sculpted throat here.

That's a very nice image of Empire of Desire Dave. When Richard registered it in 2010 the classification for Sculpted and the 3 subforms had not yet be approved. That happened in the fall of 2010 and started with the new 2011 registration year. Richard could have had the registration corrected to show the change by adding Sculpted relief, it's a relief form not a cristate, but apparently has not bothered to do it. I wish he had because the parents of Empire of Desire, Supreme Empire and America's Most Wanted, are two very early relief forms. Curt did have the registration on Supreme Empire changed adding the Form Sculpted relief to the registration.

It's not too late for Richard to do it. I'll see if he is interested. His wonderful wife died but he is ok and still very active in daylilies, I'm happy to say!๐Ÿ˜€

That would be good Pat, Thank you. There was a time period for hybridizers to add Sculpted to the registrations for free but I think it has expired. Hopefully I'm wrong and he can still do it without the correction fee.
