Can you pull it into the garage to try over-wintering it, Marilyn? Maybe if it's fully rooted and ready to go next spring blooms might come a bit sooner. Shrug! I'm leaving mine just as it is, in the warmest micro-climate I have, and then I'll just hope for the best.

No, it's too big. It's in a 24 inch container on the patio and it's not easy to get to the garage from there, anyway. I'm just not going to grow it again.

We're suppose to get to 37 tonight and as I look to the forecast temps next week, I noticed that we're suppose to start Friday at 32 and Saturday at 33. Blinking I was hoping for a very late/late frost/freeze this year. Oh well.

I'm so happy to see all the flowers from your plant! Hurray! Thumbs up

Me, either...if it doesn't make it through winter.

Yep, I saw that forecast, too. Sad Looks like there's going to be an earlier start to winter this year.

On Monday Nov. 11, we had a dusting of snow along with temps in the 20's for the low and my plant that hadn't bloomed died. I hadn't grown it before this year, as I thought it would flower too late for me, but I took a chance and grew it.

Bummer, Marilyn. Sad

About a week ago, I dug mine out of it's container, clipped it back, popped it in a bag and stuck it in our crawlspace for the winter...just to see if it will live 'til next spring. It's a long winter here though, so I'm not expecting much.

Black and Blue got the same treatment, so... we'll wait and see.

Our overwintering guide might be of help to some of you. It covers all sorts of ways to handle tender plants in harsh climates.

I wouldn't recommend people give their email address to a website just to download a document. I'm not saying that this particular site is fishy but the concept itself is always a red flag.

Marilyn:

The link you are given for download is tied to a session, and won't work if one tries to share.

It took close to 100 hours to build this report and supporting software. An email address, which we clearly state we will not sell or abuse, is a small price to pay for this.
