Grumbling Some not so bright spider decided to build a web across my back kitchen door. I open door to go out and get grossed out in sticky spider web. Not to mention I am freaking out as the spider is now crawling on my chest. I hate spiders! Got it off me and when it fell to the ground I stomped it.

So, I go around to the side door there is another spider. Same kind as I just got rid of. Only this one is even bigger. Has its web across my side door. So I go back in (through the now safe to use kitchen door) and get the bug spray and spray the heck out of that one, spider gone. Did I mention I hate spiders? Grumbling

but they eat all the other bugs!I only kill them when they are in the house
Do you leave lights on outside at night? That's usually why they build the webs by the doors

I do hate walking thru a big web.

I am totally grossed out by spiders but I do know they are good for the garden. So I mostly leave them alone. But building across the doors was too much for me! Nope, those two had to go. Thumbs down

Very cool pics, Ronnie and Jen! That moth is really pretty! I prefer that bugs give me at least a 12" buffer zone from them. Snakes are asked to observe a 2 mile buffer. I wonder if anyone would question that we are selling our FL house because of the very big black Indigo snake that likes to hang out in the hedge beside our front patio. He sure can spoil our gorgeous view of the water! 😱

This Halloween gal is not fond of spiders either. The pics are great!.....Currently battling a bad spider bite on my hand. It's almost two weeks and its still red, hard and itchy. Can't wait till the bugs go away for the winter. Seems everywhere I turn around in the yard a new web has been spun.

UGH! and thanks. Now, I do remember hearing about increasing numbers last year, but always found them in/around the ground, so wasn't too concerned. Outdoors, they are God's creatures--inside the house, they are invaders of MY territory to be reckoned with! Thumbs down
