Can the ROse of Sharon I grow in Ontario, Canada, grow in Barbados? Does it need a dormant winter period or will it grow year round?

Welcome! to ATP Grammaj. Much to my surprise I find Roses of Sharon (Hibiscus syriacus) grows well in at least parts of Florida. Beyond that I don't know but maybe there's a possibility. I'm sure someone with more knowledge will be along to help you.

Edited to add: Tropicos in the Catalogue of the Vascular Plants of Ecuador notes it's grown there but apparently at an altitude of 2000-2500m. Here at an elevation of 200m in Bolivia. The Flora Mesoamericana notes a specimen growing in Calderon, El Salvador as well!!
