The picture above by Shannon is clearly of a plant which was mislabelled or has undergone a genetic change. 'Island Charm' should have a white centre - even the marker with this picture indicates that.

Shannon, would you like your photo moved? It's clearly not the correct plant. Sad

How about a question? Is it appropriate to post a picture of a sport and clearly describe it as a sport. That might be worthwhile info to some one looking or would it just confuse things? Example would be "Island Charm sporting to solid green" I could argue either way. What would the experts say?

Just noticed that Ann has a picture of a streaked sport on the Pewter Ware page. I rather like showing sports.

I do indeed. I think as long as it's clearly indicated that it is a sport, it should be fine. But if it sports to or reverts to a recognized variety, maybe the picture should be elsewhere.

Unfortunately, the area for a caption when we post a picture doesn't seem to show clearly when we view the pictures (or am I missing something)? That's why I just added a comment to that streaked sport of 'Pewterware' though I'm sure I indicated it when I originally posted the picture last year. Is that something which might be improved - the visibility of our captions? We can explain a lot about the picture in those captions.

Shannon, I think that's a good idea, adding the comment as Paul said as it shows that it can revert.

Ann, when you enlarge your image, scroll down and edit the caption, maybe adding something short like 'a streaked SPORT of 'Pewterware', that way it's also added to the actual photo and it shows when someone hovers their mouse over the thumbnail image. It's very helpful having it noted as you did in the comments section of the entry itself too.
