I've read and seen photographs about blue bonnets my whole life. I wonder if I'll ever get to see them in person.

Josephine, what beautiful pictures!
Every spring I look forward to seeing the bluebonnets! They are a beautiful sight, especially when they blanket a large area.

vic, you should get some seeds and plant some. nodding (Although, I will admit they aren't an easy seed to propagate but they are worth it!)

Thank you Vicky and Christine.
As much as I love Bluebonnets they don't seem to like my yard, either too shady, or too much clay, of too crowded so I have no luck with them.
Luckily they grow very well along the highways south of Dallas and not far from my house, so I have to content myself when I get to take some good pictures on some years.

I say some years because if the rain hasn't been forthcoming during the fall and winter, the Bluebonnets and other wildflowers won't be very good.

I think that in other areas of Texas they are more reliable, at least I hope so.

Nevertheless they are always an amazing sight when it all comes together and the miracle happens. Hurray!

They are so beautiful! It makes me want to bend the rule about planting only wildflowers that are native to my area. Green Grin!
I garden for the pollinators.
