Here are photos of Sedum obtusatum that I found in the Cascade Mountain Range this summer. I was so excited when I found them.
We stopped so our company could inspect an old lava flow at the side of the highway.

So nice that we have a number of sedums we can count as our own wildflowers .

It sure is. So far I have found two different S. spathulifolium species and this S. obtusatum. I can't wait to see what else I can find in our next trip.

Thank you Greg. I was really excited when I found these growing all over the lava bed. You must see all kinds of wonderful plants on your mountain hikes.

I do, but usually I'm trying to keep up and breath! Since were in a group where I'm the least active

That would make me crazy, seeing a plant and not being able to stop and look, photography and explore.

I could, but I get into a rhythm, and on these hikes the point is to "peak" the mountains, rather than a "nature hike" (usually I try and do both!!) Think I'm done this year with hikes, so next year I'll bring my camera and take photos of any succulent type plants I see!!!

Me too! One more thing to schedule for huh!!!

I would love to go up to the mountains again this fall, now that things are cooling down.

So far, so good. I am hoping it will really take off next spring. I only have 3 tiny cuttings, but they seem to be busy making roots.
