Drew lives up in the hills of NC where the Hatfields and the McCoys live. There's no Home Depot stores there!

Sailboats, though. That's another story.

Are they still using wooden nickels up there? Hilarious!

So maybe he traded a jar of his County Fair award winning pickled cucumbers for it...?

I'm surprised the plant made it home in that horse-n-buggy without being damaged though! Rolling on the floor laughing

Well, it might be a little more advanced than that. Remember the Dukes of Hazzard?

Drew must be out of town. Otherwise he would have certainly risen to all this bait.

Regarding the sailboat comment, Drew, we know a bunch of sailors who race on Lk. Norman and in fact one of our big championships for the Flying Scot class was there last summer.

Bet you've seen lots of them, they look like this: (second shot is our boat, 50yr. old and still competitive)

Just to get back to Philodendrons so I'm not accused of hijacking the thread . . . here's one of my big old landscape hogs.

Getting back to the original topic, here's my baby Philo. pastazanum in it's new place of honor. I'm going to try to grow it as a specimen plant in this huge urn, but there's a pot inside the urn so I'll be able to extract it when it gets too big, and starts crawling around.

Looking happy, and putting up a new leaf, too! It has forgiven us for the trauma of shipping, and is enjoying Florida now.

New leaf on baby P. pasta - we are fertlizing very gingerly and watering sparingly when the nights are cool.
