Yay for 2 inches!!!! It's a darn sight better than no inches.
I am a strong believer in the simple fact is that what matters in this life is how we treat others. I think that's what living is all about. Not what I've done in my life but how I've treated others. ~~ Sharon Brown
I have many plants in my new garden. Most of them were trans planted from my old garden so this being the 4th summer should really look better than it has. About 1/3 of all the plants are native to the US. Native plants require nothing but good rich loam and sun/shade whatever they would be happy growing in. It gives me time to fuss over the non natives. My fingers can't wait to get dirty five more days and I'm out there.

Yes, working in the garden is a lot of fun, and the results very rewarding. We were out there resetting the stones and it looks soo nice.
But today it is cloudy and cold, maybe it will warm up later on.

Those Californian Poppies aren't bad.
Australian Buttercup and Paper Daisies. They self seed for me.
The buttercup (about an inch) has self seeded amongst the celery and shallots. Do you hold buttercup flowers to people's faces to see if they like butter?
The Paper (Everlasting) Daises in my garden are natural native ones and a variety of cultivars and hybrids there of. Some are quite cute. I really should try to perpetuate some of the new hybrids with interesting colours (see last photo). I wonder how one propagates them vegetatively?
