It was 20 degrees on my side of the house thermometer at 11;30 when I was out potting Lily dog and then feeding the outdoor cat. Too cold for us to say out. Both Lily and myself hate the cold.

Starting to get cloudy and nasty outside. Slop is supposed to start around 6 tonight. Got enough firewood up on the porch for the next few days. Made a big pot of my Quick Chili for tomorrow. Great on tortilla bread with grated cheddar, a bit of sour cream, diced tomatoes, and lettuce.

Power stayed on but my friend around the corner lost her power for about two hours. We are very lucky that this storm was rain for us because other wise it would have been 2 feet of snow.

Already did my exercise walk with my dog and my friend and her dogs. Chilli seemed like a good idea so a pot of chilli is cooking on the stove.
