David if the Leu Gardens is half as impressive as their web site, it should be a nice place to visit. We visit quite a few nurseries, gardens, and conservatories in our travels. We've been to many in Florida and really enjoyed them. We have even visited a number of university gardens there. Our visit to Bok Tower was just great. If you think of any more let us know.

It is Rick. You will love it in April there.

This place is amazing and only about 15 minutes from here. Amazing doesn't cover this place!!! Talk about spending some time parusing? I love this place, and you and Holly will be enamored should you visit here:

This place is right across the street from the last place in Barberville. Its one of my very favorite places around here and take a picnic lunch! You will have the place to yourself a lot of the time on weekdays and can peacefully paruse. This is a wonderful place and better then Disney to me. They have gardens, peacocks and it is old old Central Florida at its best... Smiling

Leu Gardens advertises to "spend a couple hours". I'd plan on at least 3, if not 4. And you can take a picnic lunch & eat anywhere on the grounds. Don't forget a stop in the gift shop. Some very unique articles in there.
And I'd also recommend visiting the Master Gardener display gardens area while in Orlando. They are near the airport & welcome guests.
Blessed are the Quilters for they are the Piecemakers.

Thanks everyone for the great suggestions.
David, We will really like the Barberville Roadside. They have the Talavera Pottery that I have an interest in. Looks like a great place to poke around in.
I have started a word document with all the suggestions so I don't forget any. And talking about forgetting someone somewhere mentioned an Orchid Shop and I can't seem to find the post.
Oh we will be there during the Barberville Festival so there is a good chance we might just check that out, too.

Its here Holly:
http://www.efgorchids.com/

a very cool place indeed.

See!

You and Rick won't have to go any further then 20 minutes from Daytona to find enough fun to fill your time alone! You have to make it up past Matanzas on A1A though and to St. Augustine. Smiling

Its just a magical town.

@qwilter is so right, and that is only about 45 minutes from Daytona.

Oh, We have been to St Aug, last time just Ric and I on our bikes. It really is a beautiful spot and we are hoping to get back there. Also, I'd love to go back to Blue Springs State Park. Sorry David, I seem to be turning your thread into my vacation planning. Thanks so very much for all the ideas.

See how cool good communication is Bev!

I have always seen that emodicon as looking like..............stinky tongue...............like;......"I just think that cheese over there on that table smells so bad;.....what were they thinking serving that!!!???",...... :tongue_smilie:

I always saw it as,..................."bleahhhk!" Shrug!

I think there's a "panting" side to him ...like if he doesn't open its mouth to breathe, he might just pass out as his eyes are bulging out of his head... nodding

Hilarious! Bev!

I think that is likely the most confusing emodicon we have here.

Eyes bulging;.....tongue out..........................
1.Heart attack.
2. That Molasses sure was good and gotta' lick my lips like my cat,........or.....
3. "Gosh that Molasses was sour!"

Anyways.............................. Blinking Thumbs up Hilarious!

I have to wait until after June 2016 to start house hunting in Florida. I must admit you are making it very difficult but extremely exciting all at the same time.
