I planted my first castor bean plant this year and I LOVE it! I'm enrolled in a leaf casting class next Sunday and I plant on bringing on of these beauties to cast for a bird bath. Yippee!

We had to replace our well and my husband made 2 forms to make concrete tops to cover it. We used the Castor Bean leaves to make impressions in the concrete for the top of our well. It really turned out great!

Any photos you can share of the impressions?

You did the typo I always do, I can't type plan without thinking very specifically, it always ends up 'plant.'

If you want other leaves, I would recommend getting an elephant ear bulb from the bin at L's or WM to grow more big leaves for casting, if you like the shape.
