I use a hard cover note book.
On right hand pages I write date and what i did, planted or sowed.
Left hand pages are left for making notes when something sprouts or not:
or when it flowered etc.

I'm still struggling to find an easy method of recording all my planting information. I've tried some of the software out there, Garden Plan for ipad, but it was just too cumbersome and I spent more time setting it up than recording data. My latest attempt is with an excel spreadsheet. I'll try to keep that up & see how it goes.

I seem to lose every piece of paper faster than most seeds germinate - certainly before anything ripens!

I never tried keeping everything in one bound notebook.

I keep all the notebooks, and then I can look up what happened in other years.
I did have the Lee Valley Garden Journal--and used it for several years.
The problem with it was:- that it did not allow enough space for some gardening days.
And some pages for January were bare.

I tried spreadsheets,but when gardening I would not stop to access computer.
It does not matter if I get mud on the scrawl journals.

The advantage of having it with you in the garden must be huge.

Maybe I should start carrying a pocket pad. I would still have to transcribe things onto the computer: my handwriting is only legible if I still remember what I wrote.

No one else can read my scrawl journals.
Well--- not and make sense from them.
