Does anyone know a good source for Streptocarpus?
There is a new cubits - http://cubits.org/Strepbystrep... They know all the cheaper places to purchases and some I am sure would like to trade. This group used to be on Yahoo and moved to Cubits. Take a look you may save some money.

Me too, I think Streps are about the nicest houseplant you can have. They bloom all the time if cared for properly and even when you think they are going to rest, they bloom again. I just adore them and wish I had the money and space to begin a collection. I only have six and I want more. I have had some babies but they are not ready to go yet. I am not sure of anything with these since I am only learning how to propagate them.
I know what you mean. I really don't need to take on too many more plants but these I need for the constant blooms. Yes, I NEED them. You don't get that kind of constant blooming from most indoor plants.

Here is what I have blooming inside the house just now.
These are the only things that kept me from loosing my mind this Winter. It seems they knew I was having a problem and just kept blooming and blooming. Thank you Lord! Someone was watching over me or I swear I would never have made it.

Ma's Ching Dynasty has been one of my faves ever since Olive introduced it. Love the purple strep-looks very familiar, but name escapes me. All your flowers are beautiful, and I agree the houseplant faries worked overtime this winter-I noticed that with my flowering plants this year as well!

I remember! I gave all mine away when I moved here, and the 2 mini-streps I kept died when I got sick. Think I'm gonna have to look into getting a couple more. I do miss them. These are all old pics. There are so many more beautiful hybrids now.
