Do y'all write the name on the knives or do you have a numbering/lettering system. My new seedlings are all crosses and I don't think I have room on the knives to write both parents of each seedling cross. Should I consider an ID system such as number(s) and letter(s)?

Glen - That's what I was thinking. I have over 200 seedlings to plant so writing parent names on every single knife seemed a bit time consuming to me.

Now I just need to find areas in my yard to plant them all. LOL! Thank goodness they are all still babies. I may have to squeeze them together in 3 garden beds for this year and wait to see which ones I really like when they bloom. Such fun!

I finished up building two raised beds this weekend. I can't explain how much a new garden bed with nice, rich soil makes me smile! I am going to let the beds settle for a week and then next weekend I have a 4-day weekend and will be gettin' dirty planting daylilies and other plants! Dirt is good for the soul!!!
