I'm really liking this cold and dry! I know the rains are coming but for now I'm loving it! And so are the semps! The whole bed is new to me this fall, so they're not very old semps. (or big) but they're beginning to color up nicely! And because of the prompting from @valleylynn I have several heufs now and they're looking like they're going to make it afterall!

We won't lack for things to do horticulturally here in Salem. Sebright Nursery is amazing too and the dwarf irises will be out at peak then.

Actually everyone needs at least a week here to do the Willamette Valley justice.

I am having fun checking out the little babies. There are ~500 spuria iris seedlings up. On paper these should be quite good! Most of the semp seedlings that are up are from my own seedlings intercrossed.

That looks like a good idea but I was really looking forward to your place for breakfast, (or out to breakfast if your not up to that) and a stroll through your lovely yard. Then maybe to a nursery close before we are off to go home.

Yes, I was thinking you DH would be if we went north again. I think we have a great schedule of events. We could squeeze in dancing oaks Sunday after noon.

Lynn's and Cynda's are not to be missed. Both have huge collections and grow them well.

The valley is sort of a magic place. I described it as "baby bear". Not too cold, not too warm, not to dry, not too wet JUST RIGHT. Plants love it here. People love it here. When are you moving???

Kevin, I actually entertained the idea of moving to Oregon but with hubby's criteria for a nearby airport and Portland being sooooo crowded, the idea was nixed.
I'll just dream about Oregon and it's having a "baby bear"...

I'm going over to Robert's Crossing on the 28th and will try to finalize the dinner choices. I think we'll be able to choose appetizers and desserts from the general list.

Am so lucky i'm just down the street, although my waistline would be better if it wasn't!

I think it would be so much more fun if we carpooled. If you let me know where we can meet up where ever you are staying and go from there. Greg and Julia will meet us at the first stop, since they will be coming from Washington state and wouldn't want to back track.

Marilyn would be riding with me and I have room for 3 more people in my car, you and Jim, and however speaks up for the third spot.
