@valleylynn

It's a pretty plant and that habitat is fabulous,

but where did the name come from or is it self explanatory?

It was said to be eaten by the early gold miners as a source of vitamin C. It can be used in salads and is suppose to be quite tasty, somewhat like purslane.
It is such a sweet and delicate looking plant, but seems to be no trouble at all to grow here in the Pacific Northwest.

Wish you could have been with me when I found it. Maybe we can go there when you come next spring?

I am already exhausted from reading the plans for the spring, but it would be fun to see some of the plants in their
natural habitat. I remember the time I made a visit and ended up with a strained back that put me out of commission for the rest
of the visit. Don't want to have that happen when there is so much to see. Will have to pace myself.

This plant has a pretty little flower too.

It is a tiny plant, one that you have to look up close to appreciate it.
We will practice pacing ourselves. Green Grin!
