Well its the season. Thought it would never come.
I just planted the containers and cant wait for late June when they fill in.
There were BIG GEEZER mistakes. I forgot to double check my RD order and was missing coleus I had planned.I just forgot to order them.RD is great and the plants all looked good yesterday when they got here.
I almost gleaned some from DD but no.
There are no ID's as the plants arent really big enough.
Not all planters are listed here, just the biggest ones
I love seeing the beginning of your containers Jo Ann. It always amazes me on how fast they change into lush, colorful plantings. You are so good at container gardening.
Thanks everyone. I really enjoy the planning. I am not so much a botany enthusiast altho I like to know the nature of a plant.
My aime here is to make a pretty spot to look at from my windows when I can no longer get out there. The deck garden will most likely become the garden creative outlet in the future.
I am no ready to stop planting and weeding what I can, just looking ahead.
Nice planters Jo Anne, and good thinking for the future.
I am planting shrubs and perennials for the day when maybe I will be
restricted in gardening. Have lots of containers too.
Its odd that we are talking about gardening for old age.
This winter took out a number of my lilues in the garden off the deck. I plant to replace them with coneflowers and Hostas.
Hopefully voles and deer will leave things alone in that spot.
They have chewed hucheras to the point where the heuchs are 1/4 th the size.
