I'm such a hand digger weeder;......as long as I can. I have already been wondering what I will do when or if the age comes forward, and I will no longer be able to do everything myself.

The last idea sounds workable.You will need a really liberal managment.
Its really hard to garden after 70.By then the joints dont move well and there are balance problems,but not everyone ages the same so keep yourself going as long as you can.

Or a cheap tacky condo that I can bump the crap management out of and control and beautify!!!!!!!! HaHaHaHaHaaaaaaaaaaa!

Around here the elder living facilities all assume life stops just because the hair turns grey.
Landscaping is so marginalized the landscape people can mow efficiently and there is low or no maintenance.

I am lucky in my children.I live with my second daughter and can garden all I want.Its up to me to decide how many square feet get tilled.
