I only mention it because I have to CONSTANTLY remind myself that small and mini mean bloom sizes, not height. Hilarious!

Late to the party, but welcome, Julie. Welcome!

I can supply some photos of Darker Shade and Dixie Land Band off Tina's list, as they are two of my favorites:

My Moses' Fire, Julie. Not fragrant, but fairly short scapes, really interesting flowers (four-six inches). Increases like crazy, here. I have them planted four or five areas of the yard and each blooming section looks a little different from the others. Fun to observe. Thumbs up

Apache War Dance. Fragrant and relatively short scapes, about a 4 inch bloom.

Bells and Whistles. Fragrant and really showy blooms.
Thumb of 2013-12-26/lovemyhouse/df4f99

Black Briar Bay, one of my favorite darks. Not fragrant, but visually outstanding and reblooms like a champ.

Bonanza. Short scape, about a four inch bloom, fragrant.

Dragon's Orb. Not fragrant, but short and cute.

Happy Returns. Really short, small flowers, fragrant.

Irish Elf. The shortest one I have. Bloom is second smallest next to Teenie Girl (below). You can see in the last photo the difference in size. Not fragrant, though. Beautiful Edgings to either side, and Frilly Bliss in the background.
Thumb of 2013-12-26/lovemyhouse/2ce7f6Thumb of 2013-12-26/lovemyhouse/af5bb5

Killer. Largish bloom, but still relatively short scapes, fragrant and very dramatic coloring.

Mary Frances Ragain. If you like pinks, this is a good one. Really tough in our hot climate. Fragrant, six inch blooms, 24-26 inch scapes.

Snake in the Grass Boo. Fragrant. Taller than the others, but this one is what got me started on daylilies and is still one of my favorites. I credit or blame Becky, depending on how much money I have spent buying plants Whistling Sticking tongue out Thank you, Becky. Lovey dubby @mattsmom

Teenie Girl. Cute, and the smallest bloom I have, but has disproportionately tall scapes for the bloom size, I think. It is fragrant.

Who's got a favorite bright orange? (I'm looking at your Apache War Dance, Debra @lovemyhouse)

Welcome, Julie!

Here is one of my favorite oranges, I've had it for years, and it needs divided AGAIN, so if you want some in the spring, it's yours:

JAMBALAYA

Thumb of 2013-12-28/mlt/558cab

It's registered at 21" tall, and the blooms are huge - 7.25"; it's also registered as fragrant, but I haven't noticed much fragrance. It is covered in bloom, and dormant and tough as nails. It increases quickly, so I often have pieces of it lying around waiting to be given away and sometimes I forget about them. The bare root fans usually start taking root before I give them away!
