Are these two the same? Look awful similar to me with similar color change as the petals fade. Also wondering if Silk Road and Friso are the same as well. I've seen different stories with Silk Road and Friso.

Do you have a pic of Wassail for reference? Perhaps they are the same ~ their names mean essentially the same thing.
Where are we going, and why am I in this hand-basket?

They're both names for mulled wine ~ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M...

They sure look the same to my eyes.

I'm noticing a possible difference in leaves. Gluhwein has more oriental looking leaves and wassail's leaves are thinner it appears.

Good eye, Joe.

Gluhwein has a green stigma (as per its registration description) and Wassail appears to have a grayish purple stigma but doesn't have a registered description. I would like to see more photos of Wassail. I have already looked at the one in the Lily Garden catalog. Then again, the difference in the leaves may clinch it.

Some more leaves and stem of Gluwein in far lower left corner for what it's worth. Maybe use 150% to bring it in a little closer. Leaves are pretty narrow.
