I would think so if they are shaped like regular clay pots. With 2 cases of them one can afford to use say, 4 for each pot. Each pot would support one fourth of the total weight. That weight would be distributed around the circular pot edge. The fact that the sides are at an angle to the bottom of the pot makes it stronger, kinda like an arch. But I would check for cracks before using them. Hilarious!

Tony, worst case scenario...fill the small pots with cement and let it dry before you use them, even if the small pot cracks, the cement will keep the container from tipping.

I am a cheapskate, I cut bamboo into pieces and place it under the pot. I also used bamboo to keep my puppy from overturning pots, I ran the bamboo right through the container, through a drainage hole, into the ground and then cut it off fairly close to the soil level, and planted the pot normally. If you're good at eyeballing where the drainage hole is, you can do this on planted containers as well.
