We just got about 2 inches of snow and temps will be going down for the coming week so I will photo when everything melts. It might not be until Feb. I could see that teeeeeny white flower from my kitchen window.I almost couldnt believe it until I checked my files fron 3 years back and sure enough late January is the earliest I have images for.

Jo Ann, So there is hope of spring. A few of my daffodils are emerging but that's about it. I do have viburnum 'Dawn' and a witch hazel blooming, they smell so good.
So foggy here. Thumbs down

My Witchazel has fat buds but it has been really cold here .I doubt it will bloom as early as a few years ago when spring was 3 weeks early.

Thank You! I had some but forgot to plant them. They are still in the refrigerator. I think it has been a year, so I will just order more, after I plant the 100 bulbs that I already have. LOL.

They are lovely plants, and provide some wonderful blooms at this time of year when not much else is blooming.

I have a fall blooming Camellia that is white. I was wondering if there are different varieties because I see some that are only for zone 9&10 and others that say zone 6, or are they exaggerating?

http://www.forestfarm.com/prod... (this says something about a cover)

I saw that it's the Japanese Camellia that is for zone 9-10
