I looking for seeds of the Cornus kousa also called the Japanese Dogwood or Chinese Dogwood. (I know, they take forever to germinate .)

greene, I haven't found a picture yet to associate to the database, but saw this post of yours from last year. Is this what you want seeds of and are you still looking for them? If so, I am not sure if there are any on my tree still this year, but I might be able to get you some next year.

Wow, that was a blast from the past. Almost a year ago. I've been researching on and off...
Since our "regular" Dogwood are susceptible to disease I was looking for either Cornus kousa 'Miss Satomi' or just 'Satomi" or the C. kousa var. chinensis as both have (somewhat) edible fruit and are said to grow reliably. The seeds were to be sent to a friend...but that's on hold for now.

I'm in the middle of moving house at the moment so next year sounds perfect. Thanks!

You are very welcome. Mine is 'Galilean'. We tried to eat the fruit this year and I spat it out. I didn't like it at all because something tasted bitter.

My husband backed into our tree when it was still pretty small, but it rebounded. It is about 8-9 feet high now and it had a lot of blooms and seeds this year.

Just let me know next year if you still want some.
