Is Clematis koreana Broughton Bride a hybrid or a clonal selection from pure species seedligs ?

Hi. This is what I've found out.

Bred and introduced in the United Kingdom. Seedling of C. koreana. Hybridized by Denny, 1998.
I garden for the pollinators.
