Good morning ya'll, I had unwanted company this morning. What is it?

Can't get the pic uploaded on the iPad, I installed new OS last week and everything is messed up!

Roberta, do the IOS 8.02 update and that will surely solve the upload problem. It happened to me too.

Hi Roberta! I think what you found is a nymph Angle-wing Katydid. It looks somewhat similar to one I found on a rosebush last year. The thread "Angle-wing Katydid" in Pests and Diseases forum

Tara, yes it was about 3 to 4 inches long and had eaten most of my Japanese iris on the porch. Very well camophalaged!

Can't walk by the Hib. Schitzopetalus with the camera in my hand. Right alongside is Salvia 'Coral Nymph' and I got a new Elephant Ear with some great variegations. Can't wait for it to grow up and show its stuff!

Whistling We always wish for what won't work here. I gave up Hibiscus when the 'giant white fly' came to So. Cal. That is their favorite breeding ground, and you can't see the leaves for the long webs. The only plant I have that seems to attract them is my angelwing begonia, but, that is right outside my door, so I spot the eggs before they get a foot hold. I do miss the hibiscus though...
