Dearest Lucy, you are wondrous! You cannot leave plants in a sealed box for a month and a half in a distribution center. It does them no good at all. I am hoping they will be OK! It is not the nurseries fault it is the darn postal service.
I so hope everyone is OK?
Regards.
Neil.

John has his eye operation next week. I have had both eyes done, so while a worry, it is a common operation. so when that is over & he does the recovery drops etc it will be too late to do anything except rake leaves. but as far as health (well being) problems we are fine.
I hope that you have finally recovered from your virus attack. It takes a long time to do so.
golden rod blooming along the driveway. since it is shady, it is a later batch to bloom.

Dear Lynn, I have put the river washed gravel on my very small rockery. Exactly as Auntie Lynn had said, very carefully!
Of course river washed gravel looks stunning if wet and in the sun or the moon. However I cannot water the gravel.. as it rains here anyway!
May need some more gravel on my rovkery, but I have lots of it.
Group hug
Neil.

Fall color is really beginning north of here. I really love the red 'swamp' maples. For shrubs 'burning bush' is a lovely red, but they are considered invasive here.

Dear Lady Nancy, my snakebark is quite small at the moment. However my Acer davidii 'Rosalie' is getting rather large and most quickly.
Here she is, and most wonderful too.
I am after an Acer pensylvanicum, but I want the right one at the right size and price.
Hugs.
Neil.
