This photo appears to be of Dianthus deltoides, rather than Dianthus myrtinervius.

Here's the source of Vic's photo:

What makes this one different from robertduval14's photo on the same page?

Is it perhaps D. deltoides 'Zing Rose'? Maiden Pink (Dianthus deltoides 'Zing Rose')

To be honest, Zuzu, I'm actually very sceptical of both photos, but even moreso of this one! Basically, wrong colour, wrong habit... but I'll try to find species descriptions and "good" photos and explain why in detail.

I'll keep looking for an actual species description but here are photos of Dianthus myrtinervius in nature:

See fourth photo down, taken in the wild (Macedonia):

Here are photos of Dianthus deltoides forms that are very similar to the plant in the photo:

Scroll down in this one:

The photo Robert posted is probably also Dianthus deltoides - it looks like a pretty typical one.

These photo should also help to show how D. myrtinervius is different from the plants shown. It's D. myrtinervius ssp. caespitosus, a particular subspecies form that is smaller yet.
Note how the plant form (both photos), buds (first photo) and flowers (second photo) differ from those in the photos posted for this entry:

Thanks for providing all of these informative links, Lori. I'm convinced the ID is incorrect, but I'm hesitant to move these photos to a "best-guess" entry, so I think I'll move them to the generic Dianthus entry instead.
