A couple months ago I snapped my Easter cactus into many pieces to have many more plants, and this is the 2nd little 2-segment cutting to make a bloom. (In a pot with Thanksgiving cactus, Begonia, others...)

I should have taken my camera to WM this morning and photographed all the "lovely" spray-painted succulents there. I couldn't believe it. But to people's credit, it didn't appear they had sold very many. There was purple and shocking pink and gold and bilious yellow. Hideous. Thumbs down Angry

Isn't it crazy??? To take something with so much natural beauty and "try" to add beauty to it?? (Mt Rushmore comes to mind...no offense to Mt Rushmore fans! just my not so humble opinion) nodding I tip my hat to you.

That's for sure, Greg. I still get steam coming out of my ears when I think about it. Angry I noticed the department manager was there, and I should have pitched a good ol' hissy fit.

My aeonium arboreum continues its weird growing style, for today, the blooming stalk decided to droop towards the north but the buds are continuing to mature. I do not know what it wants really, gave it some water yesterday, thought it is thirsty, but that one stalk just continued on to droop. I guess it is trying desperately to find direct sun..but the rest are happily upright Shrug!

That is crazy looking Tarev. Very cool.

Hehe, Greg just to be clear, I wouldn't have started anything with a random worker just trying to make a living.
Tee said she saw the dept manager, so I probably would've just asked some pointed questions to get my point across. Sticking tongue out

I found this blooming cactus in my window. It has not had any water since I brought it indoors in early October. Does anyone know a genus or species for this one? I am guessing it is a Mammilaria but I got it with no ID.

It may be a variety of Mammillaria hahniana or M. parkinsonii. What is the size of the pot?

Kim, what, no picture.
I love Euphorpia and just got two from EBay. Got two from our local K-Marts but not labeled. I think they are the same E. Horrida?

My Graptoveria cuttings last 2012 has improved considerably, photo comparisons: click to expand
Left photo: May 2012
Middle photo: March 2013- have removed the bigger stump and placed in another container, and just left the thinner cuttings, new growth slowly coming about.
Right photo: March 2014 - matured nicely, and love the colorful hues the leaves have this winter.
