Wisteria: An alternative if you like wisteria is the native variety, Wisteria frutescens. I've never actually grown it but have seen it in the wild. It's supposed to be less aggressive.

Gardening as a spouse: It's too funny to hear some of the banter between y'all...my husband and I definitely have differing opinions on some gardening topics!
SFA plant sale: We're trying to go to it next week...looking for some natives that we can't find elsewhere.
Tilling: PLEASE do a tilling podcast. We built six raised beds last year for our veggies and brought in good soil (not bagged!) to begin and then add our own compost to it as we rotate crops through. My husband has this reasoning that he feels he has to till in the compost each and every time. I'd be fine with turning with a shovel a couple of times, but I don't think there's a need to till a raised bed! (See: gardening with a spouse!) I'd love to hear more points of view on tilling.
Update on the raspberry leaf tea: My midwife gave me the ok to drink it and I tried it for the first time the other day. A bit on the woody/earthy side but not bad. I'm thinking a cold brew might be better.
