I noticed your images didn't look like the other two in the database as well as those shown on the American Iris Society's Wiki site:

Yours are paler and the shape is different.
It has been suggested that your pictures are of an older cultivar, probably from the 40's or 50's.

Hi Sue. I don't know what to tell you -- I bought mine directly from Schreiner's in 1977. What they sent me, when it bloomed, matched their catalog pictures. It's never been mixed up while in my possession because for years, I only owned the six Irises that I purchased at the same time -- and those same six Irises (their progeny) are still in my possession today. Except for Swazi Princess, which I lost this winter.

If you don't think the picture(s) belong in the database, go ahead and remove them.

I have emailed Schreiner's Gardens to see if they have an old photo of Dundee in their archives. Will report what I hear from them.

Sue -- Schreiner's contacted me today by email. They do not have a digital photo of Dundee -- so they are going to send me a photocopy of their catalog photograph, by snail mail. When I get that, I'll be able to compare my Dundee to the hybridizer's photo of it. I'll let you know what I find out.

Hi Sue. I have received the photo of Dundee from Schreiners. Their photo looks more like your Dundee than mine -- but not so much that it rules mine out. I have sent another email to them -- with a picture of my Dundee -- to ask their opinion -- and also to ask them if they had another Iris at that time that looks like mine. At any rate, I think you should remove my photos from the database. I can always reload them if Schreiners thinks that it is Dundee.

Ok, I'll do that. Kent also said it looked like an older cultivar.
By the way, it's not my image, it came from Blue J Iris Gardens. Greg also has one in the database and the Wiki iris link has the 5 images that look alike, 2 from Blue J, one from another nursery and 2 from other gardens.

Mary Ann, rather than delete them, I moved them over to the generic iris entry Irises (Iris)
That way, if you ever do get the correct ID, they are easy to move again. If not, they can stay there. They were too pretty to delete.

OK -- that's fine. I'll let you know what Schreiner's says -- if they respond.
