Last spring I bought spring and summer Mason bees, houses, and trays. When I released them, they ALL flew away. Never to be seen again. I didn't get any more this year but i did put out their homes. Well, some of the summer bees survived, and came back!

I do have more tomato plants, other plants are the same. Maybe they ran out of room in the trees, or where ever. I prefer the summer bees anyway, as there are many spring blooms in tx

I make these mason bee nest blocks for sale.
The mason bees seem to love them.
Current best practice in my region(PNW) is to be able to clean the mason bee cocoons around the end of September, because of increasing pest problems, including the new Houdini fly.
BTW the summer bees are not mason bees but are leaf cutter bees. Totally different bee.
