What a pretty border - nice leaf textures with the Redbud

I am going to add another stretch of Heuchera this coming weekend (to the right of the 'Key Lime Pie'). Most likely it will be Heuchera 'Midnight Rose', for a color contrast. (Our property is subject to deer invasion and gopher depredations; both species leave the heucheras alone.)

One of "the" best looking yards in the Bay Area I might add! ;)

This weekend we added 5 Heuchera 'Midnight Rose' to the right of the 'Key Lime Pie', and also added 11 other Heuchera to areas out of the photo (Little Yosemite and the Triangle Bed to you, Dave). I still have to scratch in the fertilizer and mulch. This summer I think it will be (past) time to work on that iris patch, as the bloom has drastically declined. (It was a pretty picture while the Redbud was still in bloom!)

Awesome Redbud. We just planted one last spring.I hope it is half as stunning.
