Catching up.Jumping in here because I'm easily lost on this AllPlants extravaganza! Seriously. I am SO danged busy that
I can't keep up, and finding my way around here gets me dizzy!. For instance, I found myself on a page where I saw that
a LOT of people have given me acorns. I'm grateful - even though I don't have any idea what to do with them! I feel like I need
to send many of you thank you notes! So can I just say "Thank you" to everyone - for the welcome, for those generous folks with whom I've traded, and - for the acorns!? What a friendly group!

And I lost my email congratulating Henhouse for getting Sordid Lives (what a name!) as a bonus! It's on my want list, for sure.
I've received some lovely trades - some for postage - all healthy-looking. Thank you! There are some Cat's Eyes that should arrive tomorrow (when I looked at Sassafras' list I looked CE up in the database and fell in love). Just to cover my bases I ordered some on ebay, as well as some from Sassafras. What a sweet iris!
Next week should be a doozy. I've got irises coming from 8 or 9 different companies. The beds are waiting.

Sounds like you are going to have a glorious bloom season come spring. Hang in here and keep us posted on how they all do. I agree about Cat's Eye. It is a slow increaser for me but such a joy when it blooms.

Bonnie, Cat's Eye increases so fast for me that I have to thin it down every year. Funny how things differ in other parts of the world.

I know. It always seems to me that the ones I really, really love increase slowly while some of the more plain ones just thrive. If I can get Cat's Eye to make a big clump I am going to put it in several places where I can enjoy it from every window. LOL

Hope mine does! This was it's first year for me, and it had lots of blooms. I hope both Cat's Eye & Ninja Turtles feel the desire to increase aplenty. (maybe that should be worded differently... *Blush* ).

I don't recall if I said it before, but Welcome! Jan Wax. I have to go wine tasting up in Mendocino again.

Rob - hope to see you up here in Mendocino County sometime. You too, Tom! We're in Anderson Valley, just off of Hwy 128 that winds around from Cloverdale (101) to the gorgeous coast. Treemail me if you're coming up this way. Our pottery studio is also open to the public most days - but we like to have a call first. I should have a lot more irises to see come spring!

I'm thinking that Cat's Eye would make a nice border in front of some taller beardeds? i also like that it's described as a re-bloomer.

It sounds like a beautiful place. Cat's Eye has a pretty long bloom season here. It's never rebloomed here, but most things don't.
