Wow, big thanks to threegardeners and Marilyn for sending some more acorns my way. Lovey dubby With their help, I did my part to help ensure we see that sweet little raffle girl! What a stunning collection of prizes. I don't think I've been this excited about a "not-a-raffle" since Sharon donated a painting!

I also went to a Lily Show at a botanical garden (very disappointing, by the way. Just a few plain white Easter lilies set around the conservancy), and got some pictures to submit to start earning some more. They won't be in time for this "not a raffle" but next time, I'll be more prepared! Hilarious!

@jmorth, no, it was at Luthy Botanical Gardens in Peoria. It pretty much consisted of a few dozen plain white Easter lilies stuck in pots around the conservatory. I guess I was expecting color and many different types of lilies. I also thought there would be more spring bulbs blooming in the outdoor gardens, but other than a few isolated pockets with daffodils and squill, there was nothing much going on outdoors, either. Disappointing to pay extra for a "lily show" when that was all it was. I could have walked through the Wal-Mart garden section for that level of effort. Sad

Springfield had one too and it was about as you described the one in Peoria, ie- Easter lilies, not much at all.
