I have three giant bags of wildflower seed ready to be spread. I got so much done in the garden today, but feel really sore now! I'm really enjoying being outside and working, though. nodding

The cold weather continues, so nothing is getting done outside in the gardens. I did spend a little bit of time in the greenhouse potting up a few calla lily corms that a gardening friend gave me yesterday and 2 packages (10 total) bare root old fashioned bleeding hearts that I picked up at Costco today.

Cold and windy outside right now. We had a little snow overnight and possible rain later today when the warmer wind get here but might miss us as we are on the edge of it.

A few weeks ago when our weather was almost summer like, I managed to get several areas cleaned up but have so much more to do. It did feel really good to get outside working again. I'm ready but just need the warmer temps.

@evelyninthegarden I managed so save some of my Canna and EE bulbs last fall but didn't get them stored right away so am not sure how they will grow this year. I did leave some in pots in my garage which we keep at 50 degrees. I guess I should start thinking about getting some other bulbs potted up soon. I have been rather lazy this winter.

I finished cleaning up the biggest shade bed in the front yard, so I'm done out there! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Now I'm off to the backyard to get some cleaning up before the rains that we're supposed to get on Monday.

Started weeding around irises that have been abandoned for years but have a long way to go yet. Will get there. Goal is this year to get all the grass out so next year those I didn't get last year can bloom their heads off next year. Still trying to figure out colors.

Planted tulips, daffodils and 1 rose bush which went into a pot for now until I get more spots cleaned up and figure out what's weedy blank spots and what's got flowers in it.

Also got my boat off it's trailer so I can get the trailer in the shop soon. Needs new axle and lights.

Today was pretty productive due to the fact that it was both warm and for probably the first time this year, not too windy to work in the garden. Just been too windy.

Thinking if it's still calm tomorrow I may work on my garden shed and just pull stuff out then rearrange it so stuff actually fits and what doesn't belong in that shed move somewhere else.

Amanda, I hope you can get your boat trailer into the fix it shop soon. The fishing season is getting closer.

My DB will come here and get our flat bottom boat once the weather warms up a little more and stays that way. He is going to get it cleaned up and make sure it is running good. He will be using it this year as well as us. But he will probably be the one driving it when we go fishing.

This past week I got a lot of dead foliage cleared away from perennials that are growing fast. But I still have a lot more to do. But not today due to the wind, cold, and rain that is trying to get started.

With my hubbies help I got the big bed in the backyard cleaned up yesterday. I have two small beds and part of another bed to get cleaned up and then I'm done! Of course then I'll be weeding and fertilizing. Chilly day today and cold temps tonight, but now it's survival of the fittest out there. This crazy weather is too unpredictable to sit around and wait for nice weather. I'm at the age where I do what I can when I can and hope for the best.

The weather here is not making it easy to get outside to do any gardening. Severe storms this morning and then steady rain until afternoon. More rain predicted for the next two days, and after that still cloudy and cold until Sunday. I want sunny and warm spring temperatures to return sooner rather than later!

Rose and Terri, I am with you both. It has been cool and rainy here and now they are predicting 3-5 inches of snow. So glad I got out and did what I could when I could. I have gotten a lot done but there is still so much to do. Last fall my clean up was minimal which means it has to get done this spring. The next 10 day forecast doesn't look too great. Thumbs down

Windy as heck today but I managed to start on cleaning up what ended up being 3 lilac bushes overgrown into each other. 1 looks good, a little pruning is all is needed, 2nd one only had a couple limbs coming off a mostly rotted stump so I killed it, and the 3rd one doesn't look great but may be able to make it decent. Tons of little shoots in and around them so working on getting those knocked back as well.

I also started pulling weeds in one bed. It's gonna be a wildflower bed and I started buying and planting them last year but most of the bed was annuals. Then I buried pots for winter since I wasn't able to get it all cleared out garden wise to see what's what. Still working on that too.

We FINALLY had decent weather here after a week or more of really crappy weather - lots of rain, cold, blustering winds... Today was sunny and reached into the high 50s. I worked on cleaning out the accumulated leaves in my deer fenced in garden area that I named Hosta Haven. It was slow going, but then my husband's sister Bonnie, who lives in a cottage on our property, came through the woods and it always goes so much faster with her help. So, that garden is spruced up. With so much bad weather, I didn't meet my goal of getting all the initial spring cleanup done by the end of March. Hopefully better weather is here for a bit but I haven't looked at the extended forecast yet.

It rained all day but we needed it. This week looks dry and much warmer but that may come with higher winds. I hope not. I am planning on getting outside starting on Tuesday. I will give the rain a day to soak in.

Terri, what a nice garden gift to receive: help from a friend. Lovey dubby

Sunny and beautiful today in my neck of the woods. I spread some more fertilizer and trimmed all of my hydrangeas. Lots of stuff coming up!

I got a few things done in the yard today between photos of the eclipse, but it was so nice that I decided to just sit outside and read the rest of the time.

Sunny and beautiful here in Northern Virginia today too - two days in a row! I spent most of the day outside. I potted up bare root strawberry plants in a Greenstalk vertical planter, and putzed about doing odds and ends. My husband Mike was in an out all day, not home more than 10 or 15 minutes at a time, but in one of those short spans he dug holes for two shrubs, a deutzia and a camellia, that I needed to get in the ground. He does stuff like that so effortlessly, whereas it takes me hours. Too bad he doesn't like to garden Green Grin!

Terri, very nice that your DH helps you in the yard when you need him. I tip my hat to you. Hurray!

It was windy, cloudy, and cold most of the day. The sun was out for a short time so I pulled the dead leaves from one small area of Iris. Tomorrow should be a better day to work outside.
