I wish to try but ... I will see. I don't have good conditions to keep, by winter, the plants inside the house or to protect them.
However, this hibiscus is gorgeous. I'm sure if I was able to plant it in more sunniest spot in the garden, the blooming would have been more abundant. But need protection by winter, or in some winters like the last. (It is about zone 9a)
I know that feeling. That's why I have no tropical Hibiscuses at this time. I'm always tempted but just don't have space to keep them indoors during the winter. And this last winter was very cold.

From three hibiscus, only two survived the last winter. But one has only two big leaves, on a sprig appearing at the root.
