By Xeramtheum

I have tons and tons of plastic pots of all sizes and was running out of room on shelves to store them. I hit on the idea of using rebar and it works perfectly.

Having just picked up dozens of pots that tipped over on my porch, I think you're a genius.

Thanks .. Lol ... Rick, chasing after escaping plastic pots on windy days is what prompted me to find a better solution!

I just cleaned excess plastic buckets from my side yard last week for heavy trash pickup. I decided to keep all of the larger-than-10-gallon black plastic pots, cause, well, you just never know. I was trying to figure out how to keep them neater looking than they are now, and how to keep the WATER from pooling in them.

I think you're a genius, too! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray!

Linda if you take one of those hose sprayers that has the 'jet/power wash' capability you can just point it at the ground and the water will dig a pretty nice starter hole for you.

and if you make repetitive passes, you can eventually get a hole big enough to plant a shrub. I leave a hose with nozzle sprayer out while I am in the yard all day & run over every couple of hours. we have red clay here in upstate SC.

I am going to put them behind my A/C I think as I want
To use all the space I have. Or when my compost bin is finished I will put them right beside it
