I remember when it was supposed to be released that there were production delays. Then the next year I only saw it on Canada web sights, that would not ship to USA. Then for the next few years one would show up on e-bay for very high prices,do not know if any one really paid that much. It took me 5 years to get one at a price I would pay. The pink when the leaves emerge is almost a day-glow color more intense then any other heuchera I have seen, then they fade to peach and green. Pictures do not seem to catch how good the pink color is. As with French Quarter I remember reading about tissue culture problems, and that is why releases were so limited.

I do not think this one is unstable they seem to be strong good growers. The color seems to get better each year , similar to Mardi Gras & French Quarter. But if you cannot tissue culture a plant and only do it by division it is not profitable for a large company. I would recommend getting this plant as long as you do not mind the cost.

TNN probably stopped trying because they had to cull so many. I remember we ordered it and they had dropped it from production.

This is why I now always wait a couple of years before trying the new ones. The spring of 09 was the last time I bought 6 or 8 brand new varieties. I can't say that I found any of them to be outstanding. Of them I think that Milan has been the best performer.

Cherry Cola
Root Beer
I got these late last summer, both seem like good growers so far.

So far it seems to. I have both of these in my sun garden , so they get direct sunlight most of the day. Color might be different in a more shaded garden.

Both are nice ones. You've sure got a great collection Bob. Only bad thing is that I see all sorts of them I'd like to have now. Rolling on the floor laughing

Bob, you are such an enabler! Rolling on the floor laughing I see Delta Dawn "Delivers the look that Heuchera 'Miracle' promised". I guess time will tell on that one. I really like Spellbound.

Just wondering if anyone has had luck with Electra, I have not seen a good one yet at any garden center they always look very weak. I like the look of them but want to see if anyone has done better in their garden.

I have Electra and love it. It's definitely prettier in cool weather. I'll try to remember to post a picture when I get home from work.

It's been a year and a half since I tried any of the new varieties. I probably have over a hundred that need dividing right now, so doubt if I'll be in the buying mode anytime soon. Of course that might change if I can't get the water at my house turned back on before the really scorching dry weather starts. Thumbs down

Wow Stormy, that's a lot of heurchs! I'm guessing I have 35 or so. Never really counted. Hope you get your water back on soon too.

Here is my Electra. Not a huge plant, but I like it.

Thanks for the pictures, very nice plant.I will have to get one if i can find one that looks like that or next time i do a mail order. And Stormy I hope your water situation gets fixed soon. I had a situation a few year ago we had a drought and a lot of the wells in the area were going dry and I had to haul water in for the plants NOT FUN.

Thanks, guys! That Elecktra is pretty Chris and looks very healthy. Thumbs up No not fun, Bob and not possible for me either. I could never hand water a third of an acre of beds.

Since my beds are so big whenever I try a new Heuch, I buy 4 or 6 of that variety and plant them in 2 different locations. that's why I am so reluctant to keep trying unproven ones. For me to try 2 new ones means 12 plants. Anything less than 3 plants just disappears in my beds. Often, I will plant as many as 6 of something in one spot. They also have to survive the maples, black walnut and voles So if I start out with 6 maybe 3 will survive, if I get lucky, sometimes 4 or 5 will.
