As to a new thread, Dave has said he prefers one big one to a bunch of smaller ones. I found this out when I tried to get someone to start a Summer Thread in Perennials.

Personally I hate really long threads and pretty much never bother to look at them unless I was there when it started. I'm not the only person who feels this way either.

I'll make a new one as a continuation tomorrow. It's a handful of participants contributing here so I don't think we'll have a proliferation of threads.
Here are a couple of mutan JMG leaves of a plant I have growing at work as a houseplant.
The only drawback I see to starting a new thread, is that there is no moderator for this forum to "close" this thread. At least I don't see a moderator listed.
