No, I agree, your white is NOT Albicans....it's a "newer" cultivar", not a species.

I think there are several similarities between your NOID white, and mine...and when time permits, I'll do some looking!....Arlyn

Maybe Gudrun? More details might help in the photo. It is a TB, mine is 42" at its peak with leaves 31" and no PBF.

I'm thinking now......it might be " Immortality".

I really think yours is a lot "older" than Immortality. The halls on yours are longer, and it hasn't the ruffling that 'newer" iris have. here's a pic of my Immortality, from a few days ago;

This next iris is still a "noid" for me, but I believe you can see some similar features between "My" noid, and "your" noid;

Dave suggested "Gudrun" as a possible match, and I think he's on the right track, at least "age wise"....Arlyn

If Arlyn says so, it is so.

He is getting good at finding IDs. As he says, pictures are only a start & as a grower of many historic irises he can give much help. He already has in his description of the problem.

NOW!!! My interest is escalating in this. I will definitely be observing many more things about this plant next year. The sepals on mine don't show as much yellow as Gudrun, and it's actually more " pleated" than either G or the " noid". I can't bear for it to be called a " noid"😂
I will have to figure out what it is!!!😜 thanks for all the input, everybody!
Can I divide and plant these now, or should I wait until fall? Before or after first frost?
I will learn more about Iris.

Most of the people in the SW seem to wait until summer heat declines to move their irises. We would replant here in July. Do you have an iris society in your area? They could advise on local conditions.

If it bloomed, Fulene -- then it needs 6-8 weeks of rest after blooming before thinning/moving, etc.
