Thanks Tom, Arlyn and Bonnie. I start a lot of my veggies inside since we have such a short growing season.

Your "Red Handed" does not look right. There are not ruffles on yours and the form looks wrong too. There is a big gap between the standards and Falls that a more modern iris does not exhibit. RH is a mid to late bloomer, but your season just started, correct? Are you sure this ID is correct?

After looking closer, I think you are right. I have RH, MK, Spades and Guinvere's Kiss and couple others all together till they increased more. It is probably Guinevere's Kiss then. Lost my markers through the winter. I will have to plot them out on a chart this year. Everything seems to be blooming a little out of sequence this year. GK is a mid to late bloomer also. Red handed is the one in the group that hasn't bloomed yet.

I have the same tag problem. I am slowly trying to fix that, but it is frustrating to be expecting "X" and you get "Y". Thumbs down

I have waited four years for 'Sorbonne' to bloom. First year after I planted, it increased verrry slowly. It had gotten the rot the following summer which was a wet one. I moved and cleaned it and now it is hitting it's stride and taking off. First flower to open on................................
Sorbonne
I'm glad I saved it...I love that brown and yellow iris.

I wasn't sure if I was going to like it when I purchased it. Now seeing it bloom.... it has added an interesting different color and look to the mix.
