Apple Cider Vinegar in Bird Baths

To keep algae growth down and your bird bath clean, add 1 capful of apple cider vinegar or 1 teaspoon per gallon of water to the bird bath. The apple cider vinegar also provides vitamins & minerals to the birds.

COULD I USE THIS SAME APPLICATION IN MY HORSE'S WATER TO STOP ALGEA IN THE SUMMER (GALVANIZED WATER TANK)???

Do you have any idea how much vinegar it would take to do that for all those gallons of water? Do you have any idea if that much vinegar would be okay for your horse to drink? Have you asked your equine vet about this? I suggest you do so. Not to mention what effect vinegar would have on the galvanized metal.
