A large black snake is a mole annihilator! I wish I had one or three! I did not used to have any moles and then one day a county maintenance crew killed my huge black snake and by the next summer moles had my yard shoveled up everywhere Sad It was a hate crime I tell you, he was doing NOTHING! just laying on the side of the dead end street soaking in some sun minding his own business! I was not home at the time or I would have went out there and stopped it! What a bunch of cowardly sissies...

Profesora, I like your hosta, it looks like it is going to have heavy substance. I like those kind.

I wish I had something that would kill moles. One time I dug one out of its tunnel and killed with the chovel!! That felt good.

Ann, read the tags on the pictures. I was careful to include a visual of the tag just for you.

Thanks. But I can't read them w/o enlarging each photo and sometimes time is a bit limited. I'll try to remember that you do that.

You are right about time being limited, and using the tag in the picture is my way of saving time.

I can't began to appreciate the pictures without making them bigger. I love the labels being shown with the plant, I am thinking those labels shown with the plants are all the same size? If so they also aid as showing the scale or size of the plant, I really like that.

More from the Shores of Meserva. The label writing area is about 1.5" X 3".

Good morning, Gerry. Love your hosta pics. I was wondering if you could ID this one for me. I brought it from my sister's place. She had Blue Ivory, do you think that might be right? I wished she had liked to tag them. Thanks

Teresa

Blue Ivory has much wider irregular margins. Give it a year or two to see if wider margins develop. Also, count the number of pairs of veins. That is yet another characteristic that hybridizers note.

How many pairs of veins should there be?

When young, 9 pairs, when older, 11 pairs.
