Ok, you made me look... and WOW! I ordered from them this year, but asked for 'All About Me' as a bonus... Now I'm wondering what I was thinking... Blinking Hilarious!

Funny thing -- I reviewed my order this morning and went to their website to have another look at that Dare Me. It still blew me away. And it's the only one that is sold out -- so I'm not alone in that department!!

All About Me is beautiful too -- so is a couple of their others (can't remember the names). There was only one that I wasn't crazy about -- and it was still a nice Iris. The rest were amazing!!

I ordered Multinoma Falls, Seasons In the Sun, Ready For My Close Up, and for bonuses chose Berserk, and Fantasy In Pink. If funds were unlimited, I would have gotten many more, they sure have a nice selection of new ones. *Blush* I also ordered Gate To Paradise and Orange Obsession, some new SDB's, and a bunch of older models.

Tom -- yesterday when I went to their website, I was drooling over Berserk and FIP! Now I've got to go back and drool over your selections. I ordered By Jeeves, Coffee Trader, Fashion Diva, French Riviera, Hollywood Star, Montmartre, Pop Idol and Russian Violet. You've probably got all of those. If not -- we'll be doing some serious trading in a couple of years!! Green Grin!

Well, believe it or not, I went to the "sale" page, and stated scrolling through, and actually had 2-3 saved , when I thought, "Nope ! I've got enough for this year!" They have a wonderful selection, and great prices, and their 'new intro' bonus certainly IS tempting, but I have definitely already overdone for this year!...Arlyn

Mary Ann, Out of those, I have Montmartre. French Riviera, and By Jeeves. By Jeeves had a pretty rough winter, but is coming out of it OK.

Quick, Arlyn, take a couple asprin and lie down, You must be coming down with something! Rational thinking has no place among a true Iris addict. You will loose your "looney" title if you keep thinking like that! Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing

No, Tom, I need to start being more selective in my planting...so, from now on, unless it's an "Indian" don't have, a sure fire cold weather rebloomer, that I don't already grow, or on my list of the 300 Historics that I must have, and can't find....I'm NOT going to get it!! unless it's a promising noid, that MAY be something special ! That's my story...and I'm sticking to it Sticking tongue out ! Of course, I may add a "frilly" thing, once in a while, just to keep "she who must be obeyed" happy Lovey dubby !...Arlyn

Oh, and of course if I need a "test" plant, to check the ID of a noid, those are 'exempt" from the statements I made earlier!...arlyn

.... and I hate to pay for something that I probably already have.... or even one just like it when there are so many beautiful new varieties each year.

Yeah, that is a downer, but, quite often, you can find someone who grows the "real deal', who will either "share' a piece with you, or will offer to "guest" a piece of yours. It's a REAL downer when repeated attempts to make a "match" gives you two ,or three iris that are "just close"! Of course, that DOES give you two, or three MORE iris!...Arlyn

The problem I have with some of my NOIDs is that there are 3 or 4 possibilities as matches to several of them. And Bonnie... I'm so with you on buying something twice. nodding

This is probably a dumb question but what is a test plant? What are you doing with them?

You are testing a named plant against an unknown named plant in hopes of finding the name of the unknown one. So to correctly identify a NoID iris, one would order/request the named iris he/she believes to be that NoID. Then that person would plant the NoID and test plant side by side and compare the growth, flower, etc...If everything is a match, then you have found the correct name of that NoID.
