I have found that I can't keep Ogon alive. Again, I was trying to grow it in the same conditions as the semps. The full sun and dry soil just didn't work for it.

valleylynn I moved my new Ogon under a butterfly bush. Chickens scratched it out so I fixed it up best I could and left some of the sprigs on the soil under the bush. So far the sprigs on the ground are growing. Will be interesting to see if either makes it through the winter.

It should make it through the winter in your area Linda. I saw a beautiful colony of it, that was several years old, in D.C.

I transplanted my survivors (as well as a damage hakonechloa that I really don't want to lose) to a spot with a bit less sun, so far one of them seems to be making a recovery, so I'm hopeful!
