Nice selection Leslie. I hope they all make it. I discovered two of my replacement irises this morning that are not going to make it. I don't think I will replace them again.

Just my opinion, but, I thing It is hard enough for an iris to be dug, trimmed and shipped for up to a week but when they are dug and left about before shipping that is asking a rhizome for a lot. And getting a dried rhizome greatly increases the chance it will struggle and not bloom the following year. If I get rhizomes from a friend or a dig that's one thing but when you buy from a vendor you expect the best they can offer. Just my two cents worth.
Thro' all the tumult and the strife I hear the music ringing; It finds an echo in my soul— How can I keep from singing?

I totally agree with that sentiment Bonnie. If you pay a vendor for a rhizome -- they owe you a healthy one that's ready to be planted and grow without any problems!!

Lestv said:My small order from Damons Gardens arrived. They had a special with free shipping that I took advantage of! The rhizomes are huge and have the healthiest roots I have ever received. Packaging was great too. And a bonus Celtic Lady and Venita Faye. Well done Damon's Gardens!

And I just got an email from Chad Harris (Mount Pleasant Farms) that my Japanese Iris and Species Cross have shipped!!!! I am so excited for this order!

Just saw this! Thanks for the review Lestv! Hope your iris are happy in your garden this summer. Smiling
