I agree! If God had meant me to carry an umbrella, He would have given me three arms.

Instead I have a "cowboy hat" with a wide rim. Dry hair and glasses, and partly dry shoulders.

P.S. I visited San Diego and they had a TINY shower. The kind of spritz that a coastal PNWer would never call "rain". I guess they just don't experience water falling from the sky there, because people acted like it was radioactive fallout.

Mothers cut three holes in plastic garbage bags and sent their kids out wearing them like ponchos. Maybe they had seen the scene in the Wizard of Oz where the evil Witch dissolved in the rain.

Well if anyone were to dissolve in the rain, today would be the day. What a downpour. I hope it is doing the same on the east side. I'd love to see those fire maps start shrinking a bit.

No rain today in Chelan. Sunny and kind of a smokey haze down the lake. Not much wind so that's good for the fire issue.

I thought it was going to clear up at home. Guess I didn't have to worry about my plants not getting watered at home. Be home tonight!

I heard on the radio that some area went from uncontrolled fires to partly-controlled fires PLUS risk of flash floods.
